LVT-2 1/72 Scale by John Shimek

Member John Shimek built this LVT-2 converting a LVT-A5 by Dragon using resin conversion sections from Ken Overby. The model represents A-21 from the 4th Amphibian Tractor Bn USMC in support of the 2nd Battalion 9th Marine Regiment which landed in the 2nd wave on Blue Beach during the invasion of Guam. Model master and Vallejo paints used, weathered with oil washes. John scratch built the cab interior. and modified the .50 cal Mg’s barrels with metal tubing. Hope you enjoy.
